Peter Panhofer is a general surgeon specializing in metabolic obesity surgery. He expands his portfolio using TCM & acupuncture, nutritional and orthomolecular medicine. He pays particular attention to the therapy of the microbiome. Since 2018 he has held the chair for complementary medicine at the Sigmund Freud Private University in Vienna. His research focuses on the multimodal integrative medical therapy of obesity & the psycho-social metabolic syndrome and the evidence status of evidence-based complementary medicine.
